Mt Everest open to all travelers from June 20th 2015

Is Mt. Everest Base Camp Opened to Travelers Now?

Since the earthquake in kathmandu, Nepal, and some areas in Southern Tibet, Mt. Everest Base Camp in Tibet side was closed so far. some areas in Tibet such as Shigatse was opened and travelers can tour this area, but not the base camp of Mt. Everest. Our Tibet Tour Travelers Arrived in Lhasa on April 1, 2015.

As many travelers know that Tibet is usually closed to any foreigners in March of every year. Actually Tibet is closed to any foreigner from February 15th to the end of March every year. Applying Tibet permit or visa starts on April 1st every year, that means the first foreign travelers arrive in Lhasa should be after April 4th, the earliest date. However, this year, we have three travelers from California, they purchased air tickets from Chengdu to Lhasa on April 1, and also booked hotel in Lhasa from April 1 to 3 without contacting any Tibet tour agencies. Right before the tour about 10 days, they finally found us, and asked help to get Tibet visas, We immediately launched our emergency service program and eventually we got Tibet permit on March 31, and found some one to bring the permit flying from Lhasa to Chengdu in the evening of March 31. Around 10 pm on March 31, the travelers received Tibet permit. Now they are traveling in Lhasa as they planned before.
