Tibet overland tour: from Lhasa to Kathmandu

Day 01: Arrival in Lhasa
Your Tibetan guide will greet you at the Lhasa Gonggar Airport or Lhasa railway station, and transfer you to your hotel in the city.

Day 02: Lhasa City Sightseeing (B)
Visit Potala Palace adn Jokhang Temple.

Day 03: Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery (B)

Day 04: Lhasa / Yamdrok Lake / Gyantse / Shigatse 7 hours’ drive (B)

Day 05: Shigatse / Lhatse / Tingri (Shegar) / Rongphu Monastery (B)

Day 06: Rongphu Monastery / E.B.C / Zhangmu (B)
Visit Mt. Everest. Then late in the afternoon around 13:00 go down from E.B.C back to Shegar and Zhangmu. Overnight in Zhangmu

Day 07: Zhangmu / Kodari ( Nepal Boarder) (B)

After breakfast, our guide will help you clear the customs, concluding the trip.

* Tips: After you cross the “Friendship Bridge” and enter Nepal, you must clear customs at the Nepal Immigration Office. If you don’t have your Nepalese visa, you can apply at that time – normally the fee is 25USD for a single entry visa which is valid for 15 days, 40USD for 30 days, or 100USD for 90 days. To apply for a Nepalese visa, you will need to have one passport photo. After clearing the immigration process, you can start your journey to Kathmandu. Outside of the Immigration office there are plenty of taxis and buses waiting to ferry passengers to Kathmandu, or you can easily rent a car with other travelers usually priced around 600-900 rupees (about 15-20USD) per person.
