How to visit Tibet?

Tibet is comprised of three main parts for its Tibetan dialects: U-Tsang, Kham, and Amdo. U-Tsang is famous for its holy city of Lhasa. Kham and Amdo are attractive for their spectacular landscapes. The three regions share the same culture, but each one retains its own traditions & lifestyle.

When visiting Amdo and Kham areas of Tibet, you don't need a Tibet visa. If by chance our visas for entering Tibet Autonomous Region are denied, we will guarantee that our alternative trip will take you into the areas of Amdo and Kham for unique cultures and spectacular vistas.

Can I travel to Tibet in March 2014?

March of each year is politically sensitive in Tibet. Since 2008, Tibet is usually closed in March to any foreign travelers. I just got the information from Tibet that this year, 2014, is the same situation that it's hard to obtain Tibet visa in March. If you are traveling to Tibet in March, please consider the difficulties of getting Tibet visa, and plan the trip to Tibet before or after March, 2014.

What you need to honw for traveling in Tibet?

Mountain Sickness:
What the visitors to Tibet are concerned about is the mountain sickness. On highland, the air is thin and the air contains less oxygen. If the elevation increases quickly, you will find uncomfortable, such as taking airplane or buses to Tibet. With mountain sickness, you will feel headache, dizzy, heavy breathing, tired and insomnia.  Those with heart diseases or high blood pressure should be more careful.

Suggestions before you go to Tibet:
